Anime Expeditions Modifiers List and Counter Guide

Search all 50 documented Anime Expeditions modifiers, compare Game and Enemy effects, and learn how speed, shields, summons, control and stage restrictions change a run.

Modifiers change the normal rules of an Anime Expeditions stage. The current community reference separates them into Game Modifiers, which affect the stage or your roster as a whole, and Enemy Modifiers, which belong to an enemy group and appear over affected enemies. Read the Stage Effects panel before entering: one modifier can turn a familiar map into a different team-building problem.

This guide records the 50 entries shown on the Anime Expeditions Miraheze Modifier page when checked on 2026-07-28: 14 Game Modifiers and 36 Enemy Modifiers. Its timing, percentage, range, shield and upgrade values follow that reference. A live update can rebalance them, so the current stage panel remains the final authority.

Verification: names, categories, icons and displayed values are community reported from the current reference page. The page was last edited there on 2026-07-17. Exact interactions between multiple modifiers, bosses, abilities and difficulty scaling still need in-game testing.

Game Modifier versus Enemy Modifier

Stage-wide rule

Game Modifier

Changes a broad system: available tools, unit range, traits, upgrade count, enemy speed, shields or element resistance. Build the team around this rule before entering because placement alone may not fix a bad roster match.

14 documentedShown in Stage Effects
Enemy-group rule

Enemy Modifier

Attaches to a particular enemy group and appears above affected enemies. Decide which marked target must die first, which mechanic needs a counter and whether the usual crowd control or AoE plan still works.

36 documentedIcon above enemy

The Stage Effects panel can list an Enemy Modifier even when only one enemy group carries it. Do not assume every wave uses every displayed Enemy Modifier. During the run, match the icon over the enemy with this index and watch which group actually triggers the effect.

What to check before you enter

First look for rules that remove part of your build. No Farms changes opening economy; Traitless removes trait value; Short Range can break a placement that barely reaches two lanes; Upgrade Cap makes spreading upgrades across many units expensive. Cards Disabled, No Anvils, No Repair, No Research Tree and No Tomes matter only when your intended route relies on those systems.

Then check whether the enemy side requires a specific answer. Immunity and Status Cleanse weaken crowd-control plans. Armored punishes full AoE damage, while Reinforced reduces every damage source. Sword asks for damage over time on the killing blow. Speedy, Sprinter, Momentum and Death compress the time available before a leak.

Finally inspect combinations, not isolated cards. Commander plus Soldier increases pressure around the support enemy. Veil can make a nearby group much harder to finish. Summoner or Splitter adds bodies, while Dawn changes the health and shield profile of those added enemies. A safe setup identifies the support or spawning target and focuses it before the lane fills.

Practical counter priorities

Problem
Read first
Adjustment
Failure signal
Fast lane pressure
Speedy, Sprinter, Momentum, Death
Place reliable damage earlier and avoid waiting for a fragile late upgrade.
The first leak happens before the main damage zone.
Durability loop
Regen, Shield, Bulwark, Transformer
Use sustained damage and time burst around immunity or the second phase.
Health returns faster than the team finishes the target.
Too many bodies
Summoner, Splitter, Zombie, Zombify
Prioritize the source and keep cleanup damage behind the first contact point.
Small enemies pass while every unit targets the host.
Unit shutdown
Explosive, Stunner, Cage, Fear, Retaliation Counter
Spread essential roles and avoid placing every carry inside one disruption zone.
Economy, damage and support all stop together.

Enemy Resistance and element choices

Enemy Resistance is described by the reference as a subset of Game Modifier used in selected modes. It applies to every enemy group as a final damage multiplier for the affected Element and appears beside active Enemy Modifier icons above enemies. Mirror and Resistance therefore require a diversified roster rather than a single-element stack.

Resistance cycles through Flame, Hydro, Gale, Terra, Light, Storm and Dark every 30 seconds. This page does not invent the multiplier or claim that every mode uses the same sequence. If the live panel displays a changed order or value, follow the live stage.

Frequently asked questions

How many Modifiers are documented?

The reference snapshot contains 50: 14 Game Modifiers and 36 Enemy Modifiers. This is a dated documented list, not a promise that no later update has added another entry.

Where can I see a Modifier in game?

Read Stage Effects before entering and during a match. Enemy Modifier icons also appear over the affected enemy group. A Game Modifier is listed as a stage rule.

Are Game Modifier and Enemy Modifier the same?

No. A Game Modifier changes a broader stage mechanic. An Enemy Modifier belongs to an enemy group, although the Stage Effects panel can announce it for the whole stage.

What should I counter first?

Counter the mechanic that invalidates your team. A crowd-control roster must notice Immunity or Status Cleanse; an AoE roster must notice Armored; a late economy plan must notice No Farms or high movement speed.

Are the percentages and timers official?

They are values displayed by the community-maintained Modifier reference checked on 2026-07-28. They should be rechecked in the live game after balance updates.
