Global Tournament is the competitive mode based on Infinite. The Miraheze reference says the score is the highest wave reached, each map has its own leaderboard, and a team can include up to four players. All players in that team share one leaderboard slot. Its season follows a major-update cycle rather than the weekly Tournament rhythm described on the separate Tournament page.
Interactive map planning selector
Choose the map you intend to enter. These are the five documented Story environments; availability in the current Global Tournament must be confirmed on the board. The stage art is an original visual navigation aid.
School Grounds plan
Use the opening map to build a clean benchmark. Cover the long courtyard before investing heavily in economy, and save sustained damage for its five-boss pool as waves scale.
Flower Forest plan
Build along the longest shared lane and prepare for fast, split or cleansing enemies documented in the map assets. One status effect should never be the only line of defense.
Rose Kingdom plan
Concentrate damage so regenerating or reinforced pressure cannot recover between disconnected zones. Preserve a flexible type when the current global effects add resistance.
Fairy King Forest plan
Assign one player or unit group to remove support pressure while the main core handles increasingly durable targets. Do not fill every placement before learning the current boss cycle.
King's Tomb plan
Prepare for support, momentum and summoned pressure before the clone bosses. Space essential units so one disruption does not remove the team's opener, buff and damage at once.
Highest-wave scoring changes the build
The goal is survival depth, not the fastest clear. Early economy matters because its value compounds across many waves, but it only works after a stable opener is funded. Establish enough damage to stop the first dangerous cycle, then add income without letting the lane become unrecoverable. At higher waves, transfer cash from unnecessary openers into scalable damage, buffs and the utility that still affects current enemies.
Record the wave reached and the exact reason the run ended. A normal-wave leak requires coverage, attack timing or a second damage pattern. A boss timeout requires sustained output. A control immunity requires a damage-based backup. Changing the whole roster after every attempt hides the real cause.
Solo and four-player team planning
The reference allows up to four players. A solo run produces a clean personal benchmark. A team can pool specialized jobs, but all members occupy one leaderboard entry, so agree on the exact lineup before the serious attempt.
Assign an opener, economy owner, wave-clear core, boss core and support coverage. A player can own more than one job, but no essential job should be assumed. Coordinate placement caps and expensive upgrades. Duplicate supports only when their effects stack according to the current unit panels.
Map-specific leaderboards
A highest wave on School Grounds does not automatically compete with a King’s Tomb entry because the reference describes separate boards. Confirm the selected map and leaderboard before launching. If the season board displays a modifier or resistance, treat it as part of that map’s rules and preserve a screenshot for comparison.
Season rewards and verification
The reference records the Elf Mage (Ranni) skin for Season 1. It is historical context, not evidence that the skin is currently obtainable.

Global Tournament FAQ
Is this the same as weekly Tournament?
No. The reference presents Global Tournament as an Infinite-based, highest-wave mode with a major-update seasonal cycle. Weekly Tournament has its own formats and scoring conditions.
Can four players enter?
The reference says up to four, with the team sharing one leaderboard slot. Check whether the active season changes party rules.
Are all five maps always active?
The selector above is a planning index of documented Story maps. Current Global Tournament availability requires the live board.
